This set of pottery was the first I undertook. The polychrome and sgraffito decoration was applied after the pottery was processed. Several of the pieces are inordinately thick-walled or have cracks in their bases due to being overly thick or too wet during modeling. But the series was satisfying enough to get me hooked on pottery.
